Oh I was totally excited to start this May ARC Challenge... even added some book to my already crazy full ARC Library... and what did I read this weekend.. Not a Damn darn thing. Well that's not true I was re reading the 50 shades series and finished "Fifty Shades Freed" at 2am Sunday Morning. But that was not an ARC so that doesn't count. But in reality I had a blast this weekend. Hung out with an old friend and played video games. Yep I'm a nerd and I know it. But if it makes the blogosphere feel better I did read a short story this morning that was on my ARC list. It might make you feel better... but it did not make me feel better. But that might be because I re read the " Fifty Shades Series" and all other of that genre need not apply. So go see my one and only sex story erotic short story... because you might never see another... because next time I'm at Net Galley I will pay more attention to what I have to read=)

Well after reading The Immortal Rules and The Selection this weekend... I started The Hallowed Ones Last Night. I know what your thinking why do keep starting books on Sunday night, when you know you have to be at work the next day. Well I'm Sorry!!! I couldn't help it... I tell you these books call to me. So anyways on to my current read...

So Like I was saying I started this last night and then went to bed reading. And do you know it freaked me out so much I had to put that sucker down, one part scared the crap outta me. That's how well written it is... I could picture it that well in my head. I knew when I started this book it wasn't going to be my regular Amish Fiction Read but damn  dang it if I didn't almost freak out like a big scaredy cat and sleep with my daughter.

After an amazing weekend of Book Reading read two books in as many days. Rune and After the Ending (this review I'm still writing should be up tomorrow. I decided to be ambitious and start another book at 10:30pm last night. I only read the first chapter and then promptly went to bed. I have to get up early in the morning. I don't think my boss will take the excuse. "Sorry I'm so exhausted and late, I started this amazing book." I normally don't read books with titles like this. I think it's my christian upbringing. But something on Netgalley popped out at me. Honestly I think its because the Girl on the cover reminded me of an actress who has been on two of my favorite tv shows. Vanessa Marano. I know what your thinking she totally posed for the cover of this book. I'm in total agreement with you. I mean come on, they are total doppelgangers. ( love that word, learned it from the Vampire Diaries, aren't you so proud.) But I digress, so started reading this book and I have to tell you Dora is one funny chick. So far my favorite line is:

" Our Father, who art..." her Father recited. The large congregation chanted with him.

"... who art embarrassing whenst he is on television," Dora mumbled out of habit. Two devout parishioners spun around and glowered at her. "Hollowed be thy brain," she added just for their benefit and chuckled when they turned away from her in disgust.   

I know what you thinking, And I'm totally waiting for the hell fire and brimstone. But from what I have read so far. Her dad is the type of christian, that every non-christian bases there opinion on. You know the pompous fool, who thinks he is right and every one else is going to hell. But anyways, so far so Good. I think I'm at a slow spot right now, but I mean they are in Hell, it can only go up from here. =)

Well I finally sat down and started reading the dreaded last of the mortal instruments series.

And let me tell you. Now that I finally forced myself to start over and just let the world of Casandra Clare take over it's actually really good. There is a lot of stuff going on in this book. While the other books seemed to focus on Clary and Jace's relationship more than anything, this is book is giving the other characters problems a main stage as well. I'm a little over the whole If you kill one person the other person dies scenerio...it has a different quality to it then most story lines do. Right now I feel like I'm watching a horror movie and the main Character (Clary) is walking towards the noise even though she knows it could end badly. Maybe her character has always been that way, and I've just been so engrossed in the Jace/Clary continuem that I failed to notice. But all in all according to my Kindle I'm about a quarter of the way through and I am really enjoying the story line right now.

Bookish Rants? Hmm that sounds fun. I am so tired of getting really into a book. Reading the whole thing in a couple hours not realizing its a series and the next book doesn't come out for a year. I have decided I am going to investigate before I start reading a book make sure if its a series the other books in the series are already out...at least a few of them. Especially ones that end on cliff hangers... maybe its just me. But I get hoppin mad when I get to the end of an amzing book and find out I can't read the next one till December 2015....grrrr

Okay because this figuring out blogging thing is driving me batty I decided to keep things simple this Monday. And I am going to Muse about the Book I am reading right now. 

Synopsis:

I am really annoyed with this book, and its really my own fault. I started this book because I saw the previews for the movie and thought...hmmm that might be interesting. And it was...it really was... Lots of twist and turns. Kept me thinking and kept me up at night. And then came the mistake of the century. Before reading the whole book I saw the movie. Oh dear Lord why did I do it. I was thoroughly disappointed in the movie. It was boring and predictable, and now I know the ending to the book. And even though I loved the book before I saw the movie its hard for me to pick it back up. Does that make sense...do I sound crazy?! Well I am, I loathe my mistake and have grounded myself from seeing movies for a whole month. (Sadly since I grounded myself, it won't probably last, because I tend to let myself off with a warning after awhile)

I love this series!!! And by Love, I mean true, harbored, bound to let me down love. I loved the characters, the story lines, the comedy, the drama.... I do not love this book. I don't think I've gotten past the fifth chapter. It just doesn't feel the same. While I am determined to finish. I do wish for more=(
