Author Info-

I am a stay at home mom to two crazy little boys, with another baby on the way.(Finally Pink!) I've been married to my high school sweetheart for almost six years now and he is my biggest supporter. I've always had a love for books since the time I first started reading and started swapping books with my mom when I got a little older. My love for reading turned into a love for writing and I've enjoyed every second of it.

Excerpt:
“Don’t worry, mother. I’m not being stupid about it, I’m on birth control, and whichever penis I pick is most certainly wrapped. So when and if I feel the urge to spread my legs, just know I’m being one hundred percent safe. Even if I’m not exactly laying back and spreading my legs, you know there are so many different positions I love to try out. Have you ever heard of the Dolphin? It’s fairly tricky but once you get the hang of it, can be amazing. It also helps that I’m so flexible,” I added on loudly before laying my napkin on my cleared plate.

Review:
You think you can start over.  Be a different person...make different choices. You almost succeed...then you meet him and everything changes....

I was really surprised how much I liked this book. Mrs Williams took a love story and turned it on its head. I like how it wasn't just a bad boy going after a good girl. Both main characters had their rebel moments. The love triangle was a little thin, and upset me in some areas. Besides that, the characters were written with care... I felt their emotions, their heart break, their anger, and even their love. I didn't think I was going to like the plot...but amazingly it pulled the whole story together in a pretty bow. This isn't your normal love story,  it has lots of twist and turns... just like a great book should have....

Waiting On Doon

To find out what everyone else outs waiting on, head over to Breaking The Spine...

Title: Doon
Author: Carey Corp & Lorie Langdon
Release Date: August 20, 2013
DOON…
Veronica doesn't think she's going crazy. But why can't anyone else see the mysterious blond boy who keeps popping up wherever she goes? When her best friend, Mackenna, invites her to spend the summer in Scotland, Veronica jumps at the opportunity to leave her complicated life behind for a few months.
But the Scottish countryside holds other plans.
Not only has the imaginary kilted boy followed her to Alloway, she and Mackenna uncover a strange set of rings and a very unnerving letter from Mackenna's great aunt—and when the girls test the instructions Aunt Gracie left behind, they find themselves transported to a land that defies explanation. Doon seems like a real-life fairy tale, complete with one prince who has eyes for Mackenna and another who looks suspiciously like the boy from Veronica's daydreams. But Doon has a dark underbelly as well. The two girls could have everything they've longed for...or they could end up breaking an enchantment and find themselves trapped in a world that has become a nightmare.

DOON is loosely based on the premise of the musical Brigadoon, with permission from the ALan Jay Lerner Estate and the Frederick Loewe Foundation.

I've never read anything by either Author but this looks good:)

My teaser is from one of the many books I read this weekend. I adored this book...even as I bawled my eyes out.

My teaser:

"I love how (last one, I swear) when we watched The Forces of Nature and Sandra Bullock walked away in the end and I was screaming at the TV for such an ugly ending, you just shrugged your shoulders and said, “It’s real, Six. You can’t get mad at a real ending. Some of them are ugly. It’s the fake happily ever afters that should piss you off"

Musing Mondays: Unproductive Weekends

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…
• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• What book are you currently desperate to get your hands on? Tell us about it!
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.
• Do you have a bookish rant? Something about books or reading (or the industry) that gets your ire up? Share it with us!
• Instead of the above questions, maybe you just want to ramble on about something else pertaining to books — let’s hear it, then!

Make sure you head over to Should Be Reading to see what everyone is talking about this Monday.

So I have a confession to make... well a couple confessions... You see I'm a wollower.. (Spelling?)...when I feel a change coming on that I don't like I stick my head under the covers....and try to act like it's not coming... and books and now this blog are the perfect way  for me to do that.  Maybe its a bad habit...and I know that it's a tiny bit unhealthy, but what can I say I don't drink often, and my getting high days are behind me... so reading and this blog are it for me. That being said I read quite a few books this weekend I think of atleast six...none of then were for my clean sweep challenge...becomes my brain wanted something that wasn't on my Arc list. Don't get me wrong I read a few cha pterss of "Gameboard of the Gods", but for odd reason my brain kept saying, "Didn't you just get the first two of the slammed series....what about hopeless." Colleen Hoover had me at Hello this weekend... an. Wallbanger had me laughing... So even if I cheated a little this weekend save decided to not face the world... I read some great books.

Escape From Eden Review

From Good Reads:
Since the age of ten, Mia has lived under the iron fist of the fundamentalist preacher who lured her mother away to join his fanatical family of followers. In Edenton, a supposed “Garden of Eden” deep in the South American jungle, everyone follows the Reverend’s strict but arbitrary rules—even the mandate of whom they can marry. Now sixteen, Mia dreams of slipping away from the armed guards who keep the faithful in, and the curious out. When the rebellious and sexy Gabriel, a new boy, arrives with his family, Mia sees a chance to escape.

But the scandalous secrets the two discover beyond the compound’s façade are more shocking than anything they ever imagined. While Gabriel has his own terrible secrets, he and Mia bond together, more than friends and freedom fighters. But is there time to think of each other as they race to stop the Reverend’s paranoid plan to free his flock from the corrupt world? Can two teenagers crush a criminal mastermind? And who will die in the fight to save the ones they love from a madman who’s only concerned about his own secrets?

For almost as long as she can remember Mia has lived in Edenton with her mother and her brother Max. Edenton is supposed to be a utopia... a place where everyone can live in peace and tranquility. But Mia knows that something isn't right.... as the death toll rises will she be able to save her Mom and Max...and will edge be able to keep her heart with Gabriel....

This wasn't my favorite book. It went a little slow for me. The plot seened predictable and even the nasty characters seemed a little forced. When I read the synopsis of this book, I expected an adventure...and all I got was a bloody free f or all.....

Losing It Review

From Good Reads:
Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier

I laughed all the way through this book from the club to her dancing in the Philly apartment. It was quirky, loving, and at times seriously mental. Bliss had the biggest, silliest mouth I have ever read... I was always highlighting phrases of the book...to go back and read...they were that good. And Garrick, poor Garrick, didn't know what was coming when he happened upon Bliss at the Club...I think if he had, he might have run the other way. Or maybe not... this quirky love story is one I'll read again and again. Cora wrote a good book with solid characters and a wonderfully coming of age plot. Every woman I know can remember acting a fool like Bliss. And every man, though the won't admit it...have loved a Bliss in their lives. And to me a good book skies exactly what Cora for me...makes you laugh and remember...

Waiting On Faking It

Figure out what other people are waiting on at Breaking The Spine

I actually just read the first of this series and loved it...can't wait to get the next one:)

Faking it
Cora Carmack
Release Date: June 4, 2023
From Good Reads:
Mackenzie “Max” Miller has a problem. Her parents have arrived in town for a surprise visit, and if they see her dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings, they just might disown her. Even worse, they’re expecting to meet a nice, wholesome boyfriend, not a guy named Mace who has a neck tattoo and plays in a band. All her lies are about to come crashing down around her, but then she meets Cade.

Cade moved to Philadelphia to act and to leave his problems behind in Texas. So far though, he’s kept the problems and had very little opportunity to take the stage. When Max approaches him in a coffee shop with a crazy request to pretend to be her boyfriend, he agrees to play the part. But when Cade plays the role a little too well, they’re forced to keep the ruse going. And the more they fake the relationship, the more real it begins to feel.
